On Saturday 23rd March I was down at the Science Done Right Conference in Milton Keynes. I was there 2 years ago and went back because it really is an inspiring event. It is run By Tony Sherborne of UPD8, Activ8 and now Mastery Science fame upon whose great 5 year plan my own school has based its GCSE and Key Stage 3 course. He is man who is totally committed to the improvement of Science education across the country and his approach is very much research based.
I was honoured to be presenting there but incredibly nervous when I got up to speak, mostly about the resources I am trying to share on this website. I was 6th up and the previous speakers had brilliantly shown how they had improved outcomes across whole departments or at least key stages in, what seemed to me, to be vanishingly short periods of time. Truly inspiring.
Can I just say now, if I am addressing anyone who was there on the day, how grateful I was at the generous reception my efforts received. You were all incredibly supportive. Thank you very mush for the recommendations and follows on Twitter and I will put up the revision items I promised as soon as i end this post.
Many thanks.
